Sales & Distribution (ETL)

Business Problem

  • Integration of data from several systems including ERP, CRM, websites, PayPal, etc.
  • The Client uses SAP ERP for managing data within the organization and Salesforce CRM for Vendor and Client management. Since the data resides in two mutually exclusive systems, with different DB architecture, it becomes very difficult to exchange and synchronize data between the different systems.
  • Sales orders and purchase orders still had to be manually processed.

Solution

  • Create ETL jobs that move data across SAP and Salesforce for different functional modules, and at different frequencies – hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.
  • The client was able to sync data between SAP and Salesforce and create one single virtual system. This helps in a lot of processes such as Account management and Order management.
  • Automation of orders processing (both sales and purchase) has led to faster turn around time and greater client satisfaction.

  • Recreation of reports that were poorly designed. Created one consolidated system for reporting. Business users were able to manage their weekly schedules and get insights
  • Created BO universe from scratch on SAP HANA environment and tied all reports to it
  • Created reports based out of Salesforce and SAP data
